Recently graduated from Birmingham City University, specialising in Graphic Design. I like all things digital and everything that generally looks cool. I also play a lot of video games and treat them as a source of insperation rather than "time killer".

This blog is a place for me to reflect on things that I find interesting and worth sharing, some of my own work will be posted here as well.

Internship is rather good than bad…

Today marks my 10th working day of my internship at Solli Company. For the past two weeks, I logged around 80 working hours, 98% of which would be on the computer, working on something in Photoshop or Illustrator. That’s more time spend on software for the past 6 months (Jan -June), which is around 52 hours. I think from the graphic stand point, I made more stuff than my all university projects combined.

Being very comfortable with the computer definitely helped, long sessions playing PC games definitely played its part of giving me stamina to spend a long periods of time on the computer without breaks, moreover; company has firewall against social networking websites which means I could only check my twitter/facebook from my ipad, which I did very rarely during working hours.

After work, I’m so tired, so after dinner I spend about 1 hour checking Internet and then going to bed around 9-10pm. My time seems to be so planned out that I don’t even have time to check Twitter before leaving for work, otherwise im running late.

Interesting thing is that I didn’t have any uncomfortable transitions, my sleeping patterns used to be every irregular for the past 3 years, and I didn’t really work on something for more than 5-6 hours a day, most of the times time spend is much less (2-3h). Working 8 hours a day on few totally different projects at the same time was tricky at first but after few days I didn’t have any problem coming up with new stuff or managing ideas in my head.

Let’s see if my stamina will wear off in my next two weeks.
